Dancing with the Stars is a reality show airing on ABC in the United States, and CTV in Canada. The show is the American version of the British BBC television series Strictly Come Dancing, in turn a spin-off of Come Dancing, a series that dated back to 1949.

 

 

 

So You Think You Can Dance is an American dance competition and reality show that airs on Fox in the United States. The series first premiered on July 20, 2005 and has a similar premise to the American Idol series of singing competitions, with nationwide auditions leading to the discovery of the next big star.

 

 

 

Strictly Come Dancing (Sometimes shortened to Strictly or SCD) is a British television show, featuring celebrities with professional dance partners competing in Ballroom and Latin dances. The title of the show suggests a continuation of the long-running series Come Dancing, with an allusion to the film Strictly Ballroom. The format has been exported to 30 other countries (see Dancing with the Stars), and has also inspired a modern-dance themed spin-off Strictly Dance Fever.
